For The Culture: A Carnival Film, 2023

This was my final project submission for MA Film, Photography & Media at the University of Leeds. The objective was to explore the theme of identity, specifically, race and class, through sound system culture and provide an accurate representation of Leeds West Indian Carnival. I chose to make a documentary film that had to be 15 minutes or less. The submission was given a Distinction.

Dancing in the Dark, 2022

This was mine and my partners first attempt at making a short film. We were tasked with exploring realism through the themes of movement and stillness, focusing on the main character’s mental health and substance abuse issues. It provides realistic representations alongside expressionism with an emphasis on emotion and working-class experiences. The submission was given a 2:1.

SOCIAL MEDIA

As well as long-form video editing using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, I have experience in using apps like CapCut to create short-form videos for social media platforms.
